What to Expect: This is the perfect intro, designed just for beginners — no experience needed. We’ll cover the basics in a simple, easygoing way:
Learn what the tiles are and how they work
Get comfortable reading the NMJL card
Play a full game so everything clicks into place
By the end, you'll have a solid grasp of the game and our hope is that you feel confident sitting down at any Mahjong table.
Cost: $75 per person - includes a 2+ hour lesson, a copy of our Mahj Pocket guide to keep, cold drinks (feel free to BYOB if you'd like an alcoholic beverage!) and a few light snacks to enjoy while you play.

Our classes are small and carefully planned — your seat matters.
All tickets are final sale: non-refundable and non-transferable.
Because Mahjong is a game where four players is best, please kindly inform us if you cannot attend 48hrs or more prior to event so we can attempt to find appropriate numbers of players.
There must be a minimum of 4 people signed up 48 hours in advanced or we will cancel the lesson. You will be offered the option of a refund or to transfer your registration to a different date should this occur.
We appreciate your understanding — this policy keeps our events running smoothly and ensures a great experience for everyone at the table.
